Picture 1I love all aspects of design, fashion isn’t my only passion (that rhymed!), my eyes do not discriminate when it comes to what I believe is beautiful. Today by way of one of my favorite websites LOUDreams I spotted the Melbourne Theater Company’s new recital center located in Melbourne Australia.

From LOUDreams:

This, the new home for the Melbourne Theater Company, is equipped with a 500 seat drama theater as well as full backstage facilities, while using the best technology that is offered for indoor theaters.

This theater is the stuff dreams are made of. Beautifully crafted and designed to not only suit the thespians needs but also the needs of the audience. More after the jump:

Brooke Nipar

Brooke Nipar

I’ve been meaning to share my love for photographer Brooke Nipar for awhile now, but for some insane reason I’ve only gotten around to it now. Better late than never, right?

Brooke Nipar is a photograper and former Missbehave Magazine Photo Editor who has created some of my favorite photos for the likes of NYLON magazine, and has photographed heavy hitters such as MIA, and Amy Winehouse. She’s a favorite of women’s street wear brands, shooting look books for Hellz Bellz and MadeMe, most recently teaming up with MadeMe founder Erin Magee to shoot her ‘Mes Amies’ collection I gushed over in an early post.

To see what the fuss is about, check out Brooke Nipar’s portfolio!

100 Girls on Polaroid

100 Girls on Polaroid

In the creative world, especially the world of fashion, there is a constant standard of perfection that is pushed and pulled in several directions making it almost impossible to ever attain. In terms we all can understand: there is a ridiculously high standard of what people believe is perfection. You see it in magazines, on the internet, and even in store. Models and muses alike are digitally inhanced and manipulated in photography, with the purpose that consumers will believe thse products are as flawless in the photos as they are in reality.

Bringing authenticity and a unique touch that remains timeless, Alexander Gnadinger brings us his book entitled ‘100 Girls on Polaroid’, his collection of polaroid photos of models behind the scenes of Fashion weeks here and abroad. Showcasing Polaroid’s uncanny ability to display unaltered reality, Gnadinger photos are a freeze frame in time displaying art as it should be, unaltered, untouched, and completely spontaneous.

To see more check out Alexander’s portfolio online.

Erin Magee - Creator/Designer MadeMe Clothing

Erin Magee - Creator/Designer MadeMe Clothing

I know it’s only Monday, and there are probably loads and loads of better news to come from this week, but in my small part of the world nothing will top this shit. NOTHING.

Erin Magee the creator and designer of women’s contemporary street brand Made Me is giving consumers the opportunity to preview and pre-order a couple of pieces from her impending Fall/Winter Collection entitled ‘Mes Amies’ (which means “my friends” in french). This is great news seeing as all of her previous collections have sold out very quickly. With the help of photographer Brooke Nipar, E. Magee has revamped her entire website to showcase her past and present designs on some of her very cool friends including, Natalie and Nicole of Nina Sky, stylist Rose Garcia, and designer Kerin Rose.

Taking the advice of a friend of mine, I decided to check out the Flickr album of Hulk4598 where he (or she, I’m not quite sure) takes the random and sometimes stupid comments of some notable figures (Britney Spears, Darth Vader) and fancies them up a bit with graphics. Totally worth taking a look at, you can see some of my favorites here.

Matt W. Moore - Parallel Universe

Matt W. Moore - Parallel Universe

Artist and graphic designer Matt W. Moore debuted his latest exhibit in San Paulo Brazil just last week stating that his source of inspiration came directly from the city itself. Traveling to the vibrant city for one month in preparation, Moore initially had no concrete plans or ideas for the collection of art, but stated that after spending time in Brazil’s largest city the solo project came together after absorbing the Brazilian culture. Full of vibrant colors and geometric shapes, the Parallel Universe series of artwork are entirely done with spray paint Moore’s favorite ingredient for his artwork. Parallel Universe can be seen in San Paulo Brazil until July 25, 2009.

Stephen-Morris

I found Stephen Morris’ photography with the help of a really good friend of mine, who has a spectacular eye for noticing good quality artwork. His Flickr account is a melting pot of visually stimulating photos, some of my favorite being the ones in this post. To check out more of this artists work, you can find him on Flickr, or look at more of his photos after the jump.
